Job Title: Regional Sales Manager - Power Generation

MAN Energy Solutions USA, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Sales Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our engine power plant products to current and potential clients in the region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote and sell MAN Energy Solutions engine power plant products to current and potential clients in the region.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers and identify new prospects.
  • Project development from the earliest lead stage to order intake.
  • Provide support in preparing market surveys, reports, and updates to the organization.
  • Planning order intake for specific market segments.
  • Analyze tendering documentation.
  • Cooperate with tendering and technical departments within MAN.
  • Calculate quotes using in-house software tools.
  • Bid management including technical and commercial.
  • Perform risk management.
  • Support the marketing department with market data and information.
  • Follow the agreed reporting line using available tools.
  • Build customer relationships from prospecting to closing as assigned by the Business Unit.
  • Manage receivables of own specified customers.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and specified clients in a timely manner.
  • Provide superior customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Collect and communicate market intelligence and competitor activities.
  • Maintain and update customer information through given tools.
  • Manage professional relationships with support organizations within the company.
  • Perform needed sales activities according to given directives and guidelines of the company and Segment Power.
  • Identify customer needs and provide input for development of new products and services fulfilling those needs.
  • Develop own competence of product portfolio.
  • Ensure customer inquiries, orders, and complaints are promptly and satisfactorily handled.
  • Display or demonstrate product, using samples or presentations, and emphasize saleable features.
  • Quote prices, contract terms, estimated delivery date, and credit terms as assigned and within given directives and guidelines of the company and Segment Power.
  • Prepare and negotiate sales contracts for orders obtained.
  • Prepare reports of business transactions.
  • Maintain reports and database records of customer contacts, activities, and transactions.
  • Provide technical sales assistance for power applications.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Approximately 5 years of related experience as a Sales Manager or Business Development in the energy/power generation industry.
Other Skills:
  • Detailed understanding of power plants and service business, both on technical and commercial levels.
  • General computer skills.
  • Knowledge of generator portfolio of major turbine and engines manufacturers.
Physical Requirements:

The majority of the time this position requires sitting in one place for several hours working with a personal computer.

Domestic and foreign travel required.
