Job Overview

Strategies to Empower People Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Community Support Professional to provide comprehensive support services to adults with Developmental Disabilities.

This rewarding role involves empowering individuals to achieve their goals and lead independent lives in the community. As a Community Support Professional, you will work closely with clients to identify their needs, develop personalized plans, and provide ongoing support to ensure their success.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience working with the I/DD population and possess strong Independent Living Skills (ILS) and Tailored Day Services & Employment Services expertise. This position requires driving, so a valid driver's license, insurance, and clean driving record are essential. Proficiency in data entry/note taking utilizing our agency database system is also required.

Responsibilities
  • Work with clients to identify goals, living situations, hardships, and successes.
  • Provide guidance on accessing services, education, and independent living skills such as health management and money management.
  • Develop relationships with clients and support them in achieving their long-term goals.

This position is not direct care, and individuals supported live independently in their communities without 24/7 staffing. The Community Support Professional works a self-determined schedule based on client needs and availability.

Requirements
  • At least 1 year of relatable experience working with the I/DD population beyond basic caregiving roles.
  • ILS experience and Tailored Day Services & Employment Services expertise.
  • Valid driver's license, insurance, and clean driving record.
  • Adaptable computer skills for data entry/note taking utilizing our agency database system.
Benefits

Strategies to Empower People Inc. offers a competitive salary range of $48,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. Full-time employees are eligible for medical, dental, vision, vacation accrual after a six-month waiting period, and a matching 401k plan. Additionally, we offer mileage reimbursement, an Employee Assistant Program, sick time accrual, and more.
