About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Acute Pain Services team at the University of Vermont Medical Center. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional anesthesia services to our community.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert care to patients with acute pain needs, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in pain management and incorporate evidence-based practices into your care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote excellence in patient care.

Requirements:

  • Current (or eligible) licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of Vermont.
  • Successful completion of an approved NP or PA program and certification required (FNP, ANP, AGNP, or ACAGNP).
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, current or at time of start.
  • 1+ years of Advanced Practice experience preferred, although highly motivated new grads with relevant experience will be considered.
