Are you passionate about supporting individuals with developmental disabilities to live their dreams? UCP Oregon has an exciting opportunity for a Personal Assistant to work with a kind, independent woman in her own home in SE Portland.

We are seeking a dedicated and caring individual to provide support with daily living tasks, including household chores, personal care, and light meal preparation. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, think creatively, and build a strong relationship with our client.

Salary

$18.00 per hour, plus overtime pay for hours worked over 40 hours per week.

Job Description

This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference in someone's life. As a Personal Assistant, you will work closely with our client to develop a personalized care plan that meets her needs and goals. You will assist with daily living tasks, such as:

  • Household chores: cleaning, laundry, and grocery shopping
  • Personal care: bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Light meal preparation: cooking and serving meals

You will also have the opportunity to engage in activities that promote socialization, recreation, and leisure time.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • The ability to pass pre-hiring screenings, including a reference check, physical examination, and criminal history background check
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities (preferable but not required)
