Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Operations Specialist to join our finance team in supporting our uniquely branded companies. You will play a critical role in managing our dynamic financial operations by providing accurate and strategic financial guidance to the company. This role requires adaptability, strong analytical skills, and ambition.


Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and work in the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance.
  • Prepare financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Analyze financial data, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for cost optimization and revenue growth.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and controls tailored to the unique needs of a start-up company.
  • Monitor cash flow, manage working capital, and provide recommendations to optimize financial resources.
  • Prepare tax filings, ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
  • Assist in financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making of all those in an ownership position.
  • Calculate and record depreciation.
  • Ensure Multistate compliance including sales tax.
  • Conduct yearly and trimester planning.
  • Conduct Job Costing analysis.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Proven 2-3 year's experience as an Accountant or Staff Accountant, preferably in a start-up or entrepreneurial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations (GAAP).
  • Proficient in using accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic start-up environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and ownership.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide strategic financial guidance and support to entrepreneurs.
  • High level of integrity and ethical standards.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Working in an office in a collaborative team environment.

Pay Range: $55,000-65,000 per year depending on experience
