Resident Care Specialist

Discovery Senior Living is seeking a highly skilled Resident Care Specialist to join our northeast region team. This corporate role will involve travel to our communities in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia, depending on assignments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and support community administrators and Director of Health and Wellness staff to ensure delivery of high-quality care to residents.
  • Monitor the implementation of current policies and procedures, adhering to corporate and external regulatory guidelines.
  • Evaluate and improve compliance with resident rights policies and resolve resident grievances.
  • Conduct compliance surveys at communities and assist in coordinating action plans to minimize liability and risks.
  • Participate in State and Federal surveys and compliance investigations.
  • Review and develop performance indicators and survey data to identify trends.
  • Provide in-service training and orientation to community staff on survey process, risk management, corporate compliance, and performance improvement.
  • Assist Regional Director with auditing level of care assessments for accuracy and compliance.
  • Participate in the interview and selection process for community DHWs.
  • Assist communities in maintaining knowledge of state regulations and monitoring proposed changes to regulations.
  • Review and facilitate partnership with outside vendors as needed.
Requirements:
  • Current experience in assisted living required.
  • Five (5) to Ten (10) years' nursing experience.
  • Three (3) to Five (5) year nursing management experience.
  • Recent/current experience as Director of Wellness, Director of Clinical, or Director of Nursing in Assisted Living required.
