The Southwest Idaho Treatment Center is a 24-hour facility offering psychiatric inpatient treatment and skilled nursing care for adults with persistent mental illnesses.

Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will perform practical nursing care or assist a registered nurse in routine to complex situations, including:

  • Observing, recording, and reporting clients' treatment, care, symptoms, physical and mental condition, behavior, and progress.
  • Administering prescribed medications, including intramuscular injections, and observing for adverse reactions.
  • Performing treatments, such as changing sterile dressings, inserting nasal gastric tubes, catheterizations, and removing sutures.
  • Interviewing clients to obtain health information and instructing patients regarding basic health needs.
  • Charting administered medications, symptoms, accidents, unusual behavior, doctors' visits, and observed side effects of drugs.
  • Ordering lab and x-ray work under physicians' orders.

Requirements:

You must possess all the minimum qualifications below to pass the exam for this position:

  • State licensure as a Practical Nurse or state licensure as a Practical Nurse pursuant to the Nurse Licensure Compact State, Idaho Code 54-1418.

Estimated Salary Range: $64,880 - $83,712 per year

Work Schedule: Day shift and PM shifts available
