Job Summary:

As a CT Technologist for Kaiser Permanente, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality imaging services to our patients. Under the supervision of a licensed Radiologist, you will be responsible for performing computed tomography examinations and procedures in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform computed tomography studies and procedures, positioning patients and providing immobilization means and patient counseling as required.
  2. Select technical factors and protocols that result in optimum imaging for each individual patient.
  3. Review orders, prepare schedules, and consult with attending Radiologists and Registered Nurses as needed.
  4. Maintain daily records of exams performed and ensure accuracy of information and data entry.
  5. Follow all National Patient Safety Goals and capture required documentation in the Radiology Information System.
  6. Prepare, load, program, and operate the contrast injector, and assist with screening patients for contraindications.
  7. Prepare sterile fields and contrast agents, and maintain appropriate and adequate supplies during procedures.
  8. Assist radiologists during procedures, capturing specific interventional CT images and assisting with biopsy specimen collection.
  9. Operate and understand all features and performance capabilities of the CT systems.
  10. Post-process CT images as required and prepare images for Radiologist interpretation.
  11. Maintain working knowledge of all department equipment and devices, and report equipment malfunctions appropriately.
Requirements:
  1. Minimum one (1) year general radiology experience plus one year computed tomography experience.
  2. Associates degree in radiologic technology or two (2) years experience in a directly related area.
  3. Radiographer License (Hawaii) required at hire, and American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certificate - Radiography.
Preferred Qualifications:

Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist (RT) (CT) Certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
