Job Title: Travel Ultrasound Sonographer

We are seeking a skilled Travel Ultrasound Sonographer to support physicians in diagnosing and monitoring various conditions, including pregnancy and diseases like cancer, during temporary assignments at different healthcare facilities. You will work directly with patients, using sonographic equipment to capture images of blood flow, organs, tissues, and masses, as well as perform prenatal examinations.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Explain sonographic procedures to patients, answer questions, and prepare them for exams by applying gel and positioning them on the table.
  • Capture clear images for diagnostic purposes, adjusting the sonographic equipment settings as needed.
  • Select appropriate settings and ensure proper positioning of patients to obtain optimal results.
  • Monitor patients during procedures to ensure their safety and comfort.
  • Review and select images, identifying any abnormalities or pathological findings, and determine if further examination is needed.
  • Present sonograms and preliminary findings to physicians for review and diagnosis.
  • Complete and maintain accurate documentation, including patient histories and medical records.
  • Assist physicians during invasive procedures, providing support during ultrasound-guided interventions.
  • Maintain, clean, and perform routine checks on sonographic equipment to ensure proper functionality.
  • Perform basic medical procedures such as administering oxygen, taking vital signs, and providing emergency treatments if required.

Requirements:
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in sonography or related field.
  • Industry certification and state licensure may be required.
  • Strong technical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient care.
  • Ability to explain complex medical terms and procedures clearly to patients.
  • Keen attention to detail and excellent eyesight for identifying abnormalities.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with sound judgment.
