Rail Equipment Technician

At Alstom, we're committed to creating a sustainable future for transportation. As a Composite Mechanic, you'll play a critical role in maintaining and repairing rail equipment, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our trains.
Key Responsibilities:- Service, maintain, inspect, and repair rail equipment, including mechanical, electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Perform repairs, replacements, and tests on machinery, components, and systems related to rail equipment under the direction of engineering or other staff.
- Review and understand project/activity requests, safety instructions, blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to ascertain test specifications, procedures, objectives, and possible solutions.
- Analyze sub-systems to meet design or rated specifications and modify or adjust equipment to meet specifications in a timely fashion.
- Record activities performed, indicating relevant information pertaining to the activity.
- Perform quality tests and verification to ensure safe performance of sub-assemblies or components.
- Knowledge of rail equipment systems and sub-systems.
- Mechanical and electrical aptitudes.
- Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying.
- A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be: 1 year of experience within rail maintenance of equipment field desired but not required.
- A competitive salary rate of $27.57/hour.
