About the Role

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Gastroenterology and Hepatology Unit as a Weekender Flex Program RN. This unique opportunity allows you to work two 12-hour shifts per weekend and one 12-hour shift during the week, while enjoying full-time status and benefits.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to adult patients with complex gastrointestinal and liver conditions.
  • Implement, monitor, evaluate, update, and revise patient care plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Monitor, record, document, and communicate patients' conditions to healthcare teams.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments, and note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs, and educate patients and their families on self-care and disease management.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • One year of current acute care RN experience, with consideration given to military RN experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
