Recruitlink seeks an experienced Material Handler I to manage the movement of products throughout our facility.
This role ensures that materials are properly received, stored, and distributed while adhering to safety guidelines and maintaining product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Warehouse Safety: Follow all workplace safety and product quality guidelines.
- Order Fulfillment: Read production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine materials to be moved or distributed.
- Picking and Storing: Transport materials from receiving or production areas to designated locations.
- Inventory Management: Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequences such as size, type, style, or product code.
- Supply Chain Operations: Fill requisitions, work orders, and requests for materials, distributing items to production areas as needed.
- Assembly and Shipping: Assemble customer orders from stock and prepare them for shipment on pallets.
- Labeling and Documentation: Mark materials with identifying information and open bales, crates, and containers.
- Record Keeping: Record amounts of materials received or distributed and ensure compliance with company standards.
- Technical Operations: Use computers to enter records and operate material handling equipment.
- Loading and Unloading: Load and unload trailers with both palletized and non-palletized products.
- Equipment Maintenance: Utilize manual and automated material handling equipment.
- Housekeeping and Hygiene: Follow safety and hygiene guidelines for housekeeping and personal protection.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as required to contribute to division results.
Required Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- The ability to communicate effectively with team members and management is essential.
- Proficiency in reading and using warehouse computer software is necessary.
Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year.
