Redcom Design & Construction, a multifaceted general contracting, architectural design, and engineering firm, is seeking a highly experienced VP of Pre-Construction to oversee the production of accurate and competitive project bids. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial general contracting and estimating, with excellent leadership and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage Smartsheet software and technical support for all departments.
- Oversee the Consulting Proposal process, ensuring timely and high-quality submissions.
- Monitor and manage deadlines for Schematic Arch, CD Arch, and Engineering teams.
- Attend Architect and Engineer Department Meetings to ensure deadline management and guidance.
- Assist salespeople with leads and provide guidance on project opportunities.
- Monitor quality control and consistency within the department.
- Improve department task performance and create internal processes.
- Manage internal department budgets and spending.
- Track current and past project budget performance.
- Monitor subcontractor allocation on projects.
- 5+ years of management experience.
- 10+ years of commercial general contracting and estimating experience.
- Purchasing and sales experience a plus.
- Associate or bachelor's degree in a relevant field; Master's degree a plus.
- Bid/Build and Design/Build experience.
- Technical aptitude in Microsoft Suite and Microsoft Project.
This position is primarily an office position with frequent visits to jobsites and/or client meetings. The ideal candidate must be able to perform on-screen takeoffs and have strong math skills and experience with financial figures.
