About This Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join CPG as our MEP Manager, Electrical As a key member of our team, you will lead efforts coordinating the Electrical trades on major construction projects and work with the Project Team to ensure successful installation and completion of all MEP trade work.

About Your Responsibilities:

  1. Evaluate and estimate MEP trades during pre-construction (as applicable / future support) to ensure accurate planning and execution.
  2. Review Contract Documents, making suggestions/modifications as they relate to the MEP trades and approved construction drawings and specifications to guarantee compliance.
  3. Verify BOD for MEP compliance to ensure that all necessary standards are met.
  4. Manage the review and coordination of submittals and shop drawings to ensure timely and accurate submission.
  5. Supervise the actuation of energy marshalls for electrical equipment in accordance with safety protocols.
  6. Support the management of MEP subcontractors throughout the duration of the project, ensuring seamless integration and communication.
  7. Plan and assist with scheduling MEP installation activities to minimize delays and optimize efficiency.
  8. Oversee the inspection and provision of oversight of construction drawings during MEP installation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  9. Collaborate with the superintendent on project logistics and temporary facility plans to guarantee smooth operations.
  10. Analyze and comment on scope, material, and equipment for MEP systems prior to installation to ensure optimal performance.
  11. Monitor the installation and start-up of MEP systems and commissioning of project with engineer and owner to guarantee quality and efficiency.
  12. Inspect MEP installation during construction to identify and address any potential issues.
  13. Examine and verify the coordination and arc flash studies to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  14. Provide field verification of torque and meggar reports provided by trades, and assure reports are submitted during final turnover to guarantee accountability.
  15. Coordinate activities, materials procurement, and other related activities with the project superintendent and field staff to ensure efficient and effective execution.
  16. Communicate progress and prepare relevant reports as needed using procore.
  17. Represent SE MCS regarding the MEP process at weekly owners and contractors meetings to foster collaboration and open communication.
  18. Mentor project staff as required to enhance skills and knowledge.
  19. Lead and direct the coordination process to resolve all conflicts during installations and start-up to guarantee successful outcomes.
