Job Summary:

The City of Houston is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic III to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various types of equipment and machinery throughout our airport complex.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installs and repairs mechanical equipment and components
  • Operates vehicles to and from work sites
  • Performs routine maintenance activities such as painting, a/c repairs, and carpentry
  • Rehabilitates and monitors equipment, facilities, and systems
  • Provides preventive maintenance to equipment, buildings, and facilities

Requirements:

  • Specialized training in mechanical or electronic equipment
  • One year of experience in building or mechanical maintenance
  • Valid Texas driver's license and compliance with the City of Houston's policy on driving

Working Conditions:

The position involves considerable physical exertion, including regular climbing of ladders, lifting of heavy objects, and exposure to heat, cold, moisture, and air pollution.
