Job Summary

Pensacola State College is seeking a qualified Massage Therapy Instructor to join our team. As an adjunct faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching occupational skills and knowledge to students, providing them with the competence to become skilled in their field and secure a job in their new career.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach occupational skills and knowledge to students, including the safe operation and use of tools and equipment.
  • Demonstrate occupational materials, tools, equipment, and processes using standard and/or instructor-prepared aides.
  • Establish and maintain standards of student conduct to provide an orderly, safe, and productive environment in a hands-on activity classroom setting.
  • Report to the program director and the Dean, Workforce Education.
Requirements
  • Graduation from a regionally accredited institution with a Massage Therapy Certification/License.
  • Licensed in the field of massage for at least six years, a two-year degree with four years' experience, a four-year degree with two years' experience, or a master's degree with one year experience.
  • Proficiency with various types of massage modalities, a clear understanding of OSHA and sanitization rules and regulations, and job safety.
  • Reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior teaching experience.
