Electrical Technician II

The Electrical Tech II - Journeyman Electrician is a key member of our team, responsible for maintaining and repairing electronic components and equipment to ensure optimal performance. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, including installation, troubleshooting, and repair. The successful candidate will possess excellent diagnostic skills, be proficient in the use of diagnostic equipment, and have a strong commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose electrical system performance through observation, testing, and setup as required by trade/position.
- Perform aerial, electrical, and lighting installations, including energized electrical work.
- Conduct planned maintenance and inspections as indicated in the service agreement.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, gauges, and measuring equipment, testing and metering devices.
- Complete service contracts, quoted projects, and demand service calls while maintaining profitability.
- Develop long-term relationships with customers and explain work performed to their satisfaction.
- Participate in technician on-call-stand-by rotation as dictated by business unit policies and procedures.
- Safely drive a motor vehicle and trailer, adhering to company vehicle driving policy and safety requirements.
- Complete documentation of invoicing data based on hours worked and materials/equipment used to complete the service.
- Maintain equipment, tools, and inventory stock on service vehicle.
- Purchase materials and issue purchase order numbers to suppliers.
- Use technology/software to create and modify programming, such as graphics, databases, sequences, etc.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Completed Apprenticeship program preferred.
- Maintain required registrations, professional licenses, and/or certifications as required by the position.
- Electrical Journeyman License Required.
- 5+ years of experience as Electrician.
- Required: Electrical installations and troubleshooting skills, including lighting installations, aerial lighting, and energized electrical work.
- Must be able to read schematics and blueprints.
- Diagnostic ability as demonstrated through prior experience and/or training.
- Performs as self-managed individual.
- Professional demeanor, solid interpersonal skills, with good written and oral communication capability.
- Demonstrates strong business ethics at all times.
