The Business Development Manager, Industrial Markets plays a pivotal role in driving the commercial growth and success of Carmeuse Americas. This strategic position supports the development and execution of short and long-term goals and objectives, fostering partnerships with sales and marketing teams to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of commercial strategies to drive business growth and expansion.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities, including acquisition targets, new lead generation, and capex investments.
  • Participate in cross-functional business development meetings to share ideas, opportunities, and challenges, and contribute to the development of business cases for new opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with industry stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and market experts, to develop and deliver business development strategies.
  • Represent Carmeuse Americas at industry events and conferences, and stay up-to-date on market trends and competitor activity.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities and threats, and provide insights to inform business strategy.
  • Monitor the results of growth initiatives and identify areas for improvement to meet or exceed business case expectations.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of the Industrial lime and limestone markets.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Analytical and logical approach to problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time to nurture and expand relationships.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Marketing preferred.
  • 7+ years of industry experience with commercial responsibility and/or oversight, with a proven track record of success in high-growth environments.
  • Strong presentation and analytical skills, with the ability to tell a story and drive business results.
  • Persistent, tenacious, and assertive, with a strong financial and business acumen.
