Forensic Psychologist

The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) is seeking a qualified Forensic Psychologist to join our team.

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Forensic Psychologist to conduct criminal forensic evaluations, provide expert testimony, and work closely with our team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.

• Conduct face-to-face forensic mental health evaluations to determine competency to stand trial and criminal responsibility
• Prepare reports and provide expert testimony in court
• Work closely with our team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients
• Travel within assigned catchment area as needed

• Doctorate degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited college or university
• Current Georgia license to practice psychology
• One year of experience at the lower level Psychologist 1 (HCP140) or equivalent

• One year of experience working as an inpatient psychologist
• Completion of a predoctoral internship or postdoctoral fellowship, or both with a focus on the practice of criminal forensic psychology
• One year of post-licensure experience conducting competency to stand trial and criminal responsibility evaluations
• Experience providing expert testimony in forensic mental health
