Real Estate Appraiser I

Job Summary:

The Anson County Tax Department is seeking a highly skilled Real Estate Appraiser I to join their team. As a key member of the tax assessment team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and fairness of property valuations in Anson County.

Key Responsibilities:

• Appraise land, mobile homes, personal property, real property improvements, exemptions, and new construction
• Assist the public, lawyers, surveyors, and other appraisal-related professionals
• Verify data records, process building permits, measure new and existing structures, and review surveys for recording
• Enter data accurately into the Anson County tax system and appraisal system

Requirements:

• High school diploma; 2-4 years of experience in the real estate field or related experience
• Ability to deal tactfully and courteously with the public
• Thorough knowledge of computers and experience in data entry software

Special Requirements:

• Selected candidate must be able to attend training as required by the North Carolina Department of Revenue
• Must have a valid North Carolina driver's license
