Job Summary

Pennoni is a multidisciplinary consulting engineering firm seeking a talented CAD Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Site/Civil group, you will be responsible for assisting with critical drafting functions, preparing Site/Civil drawings, and providing office support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform CAD drafting while utilizing survey field data.
  • Assist with the preparation of Site/Civil drawings, including grading, utility, and E&S plans.
  • Prepare various forms of site/civil details and exhibits.
  • Provide office support, including performing area, slope, and volume computations.
  • Ensure scheduling and productivity objectives are achieved.
  • Perform field work on an as-needed basis, observing construction and assisting Surveyors.
  • Assist with obtaining relevant field data and measurements.
  • Utilize relevant data when creating or adjusting workable construction blueprints.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent).
  • Valid Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Civil Engineering, Design Technology, or a related technical field of study.
  • Proficiency with engineering/CADD tools, experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D a plus.
  • Proficiency on standard Microsoft Office software applications.
  • Proven ability to utilize technical mathematics.
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
  • Proven ability to work in a self-motivated manner while effectively multi-tasking and prioritizing multiple assignments.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
