About the Role

As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for supporting teams responsible for US buy now, pay later product offerings. This role requires significant expertise in legal issues arising in areas such as credit and lending, buy now pay later products, and consumer protection.

The successful candidate will have experience with federal laws and regulations affecting payments, consumer protection, and credit and lending products. Key qualifications include:

  • Expertise in state laws governing consumer credit installment products.
  • Experience dealing with regulatory bodies and supporting compliance and risk teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and tolerate change and ambiguity.
  • Strong proficiency in a team-based approach to subject matter management and knowledge sharing.
  • Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Juris Doctorate or equivalent degree.
  • 7 or more years of relevant experience practicing either in-house or at a reputable law firm.
  • Exceptional writing skills and outstanding communication skills.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer competitive compensation and benefits packages, including an estimated salary range of $170,000 - $200,000 per year, based on location and experience.
