Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced CDL A Delivery Driver to join our team at US Foods, Inc. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely transporting food products to customers while meeting scheduled delivery times.

About the Role
  • Safely operate a tractor-trailer combination vehicle and navigate through various weather conditions.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections to ensure vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Unload products from the trailer using a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place them in designated customer storage areas.
  • Verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures.
  • Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable.
Requirements
  • Valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications.
  • Minimum of six months commercial driving experience (any industry) or three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry required.
  • Able to read and communicate in the English language and hold a conversation, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and enter information on reports and records.
Benefits

This role offers competitive pay starting at $28.40 per hour with annual increases and a retention bonus. Estimated Salary Range

The expected base rate for this role is between $28.40 per hour and $32.40 per hour. This role will also receive overtime compensation and a retention bonus. Benefits may include health insurance, pre-tax spending accounts, retirement benefits, paid time off, short-term and long-term disability, employee stock purchase plan, and life insurance.
