Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned and results-driven Global Payroll Operations Specialist to join our Global Payroll team in Handshake's rapidly growing organization with employees located in the US and Europe. As a key member of our payroll operations team, you will be responsible for leading end-to-end processing of payroll in multiple countries, ensuring accurate and on-time payment for 600+ employees while adhering to various pay schedules.

Your Role
  • Perform comprehensive payroll processing in US and Europe, guaranteeing precise and timely payments to employees across different pay schedules.
  • Analyze and identify opportunities for process improvements, recommending scalable solutions and best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the Payroll team on compliance-related matters, including multi-jurisdiction tax withholdings, annual audits, and balancing/reconciling pay data.
  • Provide exceptional support to Handshake employees worldwide by resolving issues and responding to inquiries in an effective and timely manner.
  • Create, enhance, and/or maintain payroll documentation and checklists related to day-to-day processing, operational procedures, compliance, and other payroll-related matters.
  • Work closely with internal (e.g., HR) and external stakeholders to ensure that Handshake's policies and systems are equipped to meet current and future demands.
Your Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant and progressive payroll experience; public company payroll experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, and/or Accounting; CPA and/or CPP designation preferred but not required.
  • Experience with Workday HCM and Workday Payroll is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of accounting, taxation, and finance concepts as it relates to payroll.
  • Proficiency in utilizing various software applications such as Google Suite and Microsoft Excel.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, combined with the ability to think creatively and embrace new ideas.
Compensation Range

$85,000-$95,000 + RSUs
