Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Occupational or Physical Therapist to join our team at McKay-Dee Surgical Center in Ogden, Utah. As a Lymphedema Occupational or Physical Therapist, you will provide direct patient services, including identifying, evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with lymphedema. This role also involves indirect services, such as consulting, advising, teaching, and training patients and their caregivers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and evaluate patients' conditions according to physician orders and current standards of practice.
  • Provide appropriate intervention, including treatment related to the established plan of care, with appropriate duration and intensity.
  • Educate and train patients and their caregivers.
  • Accept assignments from the Director or Team Lead, including case load, productivity standards, education, and in-servicing others.
  • Participate in the quality improvement process for the team and the clinical setting.
  • Communicate through written chart notes, evaluations, progress reports, and discharge summaries regarding patients' status, any complications, prognosis, and plans for follow-up care.
  • Record daily charges and submit for payment according to department billing guidelines.
  • Participate in regularly scheduled or special clinical meetings related to patient care and clinic management.
  • Maintain appropriate team and interdisciplinary relationships.
Requirements
  • Degree in Occupational or Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current license in the State of practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
  • Certified Occupational Therapist through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) (preferred).
Work Environment

This position is located at McKay-Dee Surgical Center in Ogden, Utah, and requires a 20-hour workweek. The hourly range for this position is $63.59, with actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
