Cardiac Care Specialist - HCA Florida Osceola Hospital

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Cardiac Care Specialist to join our team at HCA Florida Osceola Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to take on a leadership role in providing exceptional patient care.

About the Role:
  • As a Cardiac Care Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in line with the requirements of the department and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty.
  • You will collaborate with medical providers and the care team to provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, following established nursing models such as Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.
  • Acting as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, you will embody the organization's vision, mission, and values to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.
Responsibilities:
  • Assess patient condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
  • Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical provider(s), ensuring thorough and timely documentation of care administration in the patient's medical record.
  • Administer prescribed medications, monitor the patient for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response to the medication.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding.
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse Diploma
  • Advance Nurse Practitioner, or Registered Nurse
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
