Underwriting Associate Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Underwriting Associate to join our team at TEKsystems. As an Underwriting Associate, you will play a critical role in evaluating risks for various lines of business, including Workers' Compensation, Business owners', Commercial Auto, Professional Liability, and Umbrella policies for small businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate risks for various lines of business using company underwriting criteria
  • Perform independent verification of insured's operations
  • Review and process change requests on in-force policies
  • Evaluate in-force policies at renewal
  • Participate in Underwriting Training for new products, directives, and processes
  • Participate in projects as assigned

Requirements:

  • Strong investigative skills
  • Adaptability in a constantly changing environment, including changes to technology, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory conditions
  • Open to candidates with a Bachelors or Associates degree - can be in business or other fields such as Psychology, English, Communication, etc.
