Probation Officer

As a Probation Officer with the 36th Judicial District Juvenile Probation, you will play a vital role in supervising and guiding juvenile offenders to become productive members of society. This challenging yet rewarding position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with law enforcement, court officials, and community resources.

• Conduct regular home visits, interviews, and meetings with juveniles and their families to monitor progress and provide guidance.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address the unique needs and circumstances of each offender.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies, schools, and community organizations to ensure seamless support for juveniles.
• Provide education and job training opportunities to equip offenders with essential life skills.
• Maintain accurate records and reports to track offender progress and compliance with court orders.

To be successful in this role, you must possess a valid Texas driver's license, high school diploma or equivalent, and one year of experience working with at-risk youth or a related field. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred. You must also pass a thorough background check and obtain certification as a probation officer.
