About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Technologist to join our team at Amtrak. As a key member of our IT organization, you will be responsible for providing production system operations and maintenance (O&M) support for end-users, applications, infrastructure, platforms, or network services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot existing information systems, applications, middleware, or networks to identify errors or deficiencies.
  • Lead and coordinate the resolution of support issues escalated by senior operations, development personnel, or service provider personnel.
  • Provide technical expertise across business functions and identify opportunities to improve business processes via new technologies.
  • Serve as a consultant, trusted advisor, and escalation point (Tier 3) for issues.
  • Partner with leadership to help define and communicate the long-term technology strategy and planning for the enterprise.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent plus 7+ years of relevant work experience or 11+ years of relevant technical experience.
  • ITIL Certification (or equivalent).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with others in an integrated team environment.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Development skills on Informatica MDM, Informatica PIM, Data Warehouse, Data Analysis, modeling, and profile using IDQ & Oracle SQL, Oracle Enterprise Data Quality technologies.
  • Data Transformation, Data Standardization & Enrichment, MDM Hub configuration, IDD and BE configuration, Data masking, and Data Migration.
  • SAFe Agile (or equivalent).
Work Environment

Work is performed remotely, with occasional travel up to 20% of the time. May require on-call status and after-hours work.
