We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at PsychoGeriatric Services (PGS), a leading provider of mental health care services in long-term care facilities.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and their families by providing essential psychiatric services. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients in skilled nursing, assisted living, and other long-term care facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide Psychiatric Assessments: Conduct on-site assessments and medication management to ensure patients receive the best possible care.
  • Collaborate with Facility Staff: Work closely with facility staff, including administrators, directors of nursing, and social services, to provide coordinated care.
  • Exercise Independent Judgment: Adhere to established regulations, policies, and procedures while exercising initiative and independent judgment.

Requirements
  • State License: A valid state license as a nurse practitioner is required.
  • Specialty: A psychiatric nurse practitioner (PMHNP) or adult-gerontology nurse practitioner (AGNP) specialty is preferred.
  • DEA License: A DEA license is also required.
  • Availability: Ability to work during normal, weekday business hours with no night or weekend on-call shifts.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for 20 minutes and lift 15 pounds.
