Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Eye Care Specialist to conduct comprehensive eye exams for U.S. Veterans as part of the VA's SHA process.

This is a non-treating, non-determination role focused solely on assessments, offering a rewarding and flexible part-time opportunity.

About the Role
  • Review medical records through a secure web portal.
  • Perform thorough eye exams, including Visual Field Testing (VFT).
  • Complete and submit evaluation forms via the web portal within 24 hours of the exam.

Requirements

The ideal candidate is:

  • A licensed Optometrist or Ophthalmologist.
  • Proficient in Visual Field Testing (VFT).
  • Credentialed to meet the VA's requirements.
  • Passionate about serving Veterans.
  • Skilled in analyzing medical records and exam findings to create accurate, timely reports.
  • Exceptional in both written and oral communication.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of submitting forms within required timelines.

Estimated Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 per year, based on location and experience.
