About the RoleThis position requires assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating ambulatory pre- and post-anesthesia patient care and pain service patient care in a timely and accurate manner. The ideal candidate will have earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university and possess at least one year of experience in Ambulatory PACU Phase 1 or 2. Strong communication skills, ability to work well under pressure, and flexibility in applying basic nursing knowledge are essential.
Responsibilities- Assess patient needs and develop individualized plans of care
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure effective coordination of patient care
- Administer medications safely and accurately
- Document patient information thoroughly and in a timely manner
- Reassess patient condition and modify plan of care as needed
The ambulatory surgery facility serves patients ranging from less than one year of age, with possible exposure to anesthetics, radiation, and infectious disease entities. This role requires strong communication skills, including verbal and written English proficiency. Lifting, positioning, and transporting patients up to 250 pounds may be necessary.
As a Registered Nurse in Preoperative and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at Williamson Health, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care while working collaboratively with surgical teams.
