Job Title: Diesel Technician Shop Lead

Are you a skilled diesel technician looking for a challenging role where you can utilize your expertise to lead a team of technicians? Do you have a passion for heavy equipment repair and a desire to work with a dedicated team of professionals?

Wagner Equipment Co. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Diesel Technician Shop Lead to join our team. As a Shop Lead, you will be responsible for assisting and developing technicians in all phases of troubleshooting and repair of equipment, ensuring that all work orders are complete, service reports are filled out correctly, and all parts are returned before the job is turned in.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist and develop technicians in troubleshooting and repair of equipment
  • Ensure work orders are complete, service reports are filled out correctly, and all parts are returned before the job is turned in
  • Work with other shops in coordinating the repair of different components
  • Help ensure a safe and productive working environment in the shop
  • Work closely with the Shop Manager and Service Writer to keep them updated on the status and problems of the equipment in the shop
  • Assist, supervise, and train technicians in troubleshooting and repairing equipment
  • Other duties as assigned by manager
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5 years' experience in the troubleshooting and repair of Caterpillar heavy equipment
  • 3-5 years administrative/clerical experience
  • 3-5 years customer service experience
