Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Caregiver Support Specialist to join our team. As a Caregiver Support Specialist, you will provide assistance and strategies to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live as independently as possible in community settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transportation and support out in the community, including outings, field trips, medical appointments, and shopping
- Assist with daily living skills, including meal preparation and medication administration
- Provide guidance on developmental goals, such as community participation, household budgeting, exercise, nutrition, and vocational responsibilities
- Support individuals with living skills, such as personal hygiene, grooming, and bathing
- Work with a variety of needs, including developmental, behavioral, and mental health supports
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 5 years of documented caregiving experience or substitute education
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license
- Access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance
- Successful clearance of background checks
- Reliable and responsible attitude
- Compassionate approach and commitment to quality
