Overview

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Clinical Lead to join our team at Norwalk Hospital Association. This role is responsible for managing clinical activities and supervising staff in our acute care setting.

Job Description

As a Nursing Clinical Lead, you will be accountable for patient movement and supervision of clinical activities across the hospital. You will work closely with Patient Care Managers to plan, provide, and evaluate nursing care in patient care areas. Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with Patient Care Managers to coordinate patient care and manage staffing levels
  • Assessing staffing needs and making adjustments to ensure optimal care delivery
  • Providing divisional supervision and management on off-shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Developing and implementing clinical policies and procedures

You will also be responsible for prioritizing patient placement based on acuity, bed availability, and staffing needs. Additionally, you will analyze and evaluate the impact and cost-effectiveness of staffing decisions and interventions on patient care and nursing practice.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field
  • Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in Connecticut
  • At least 3 years of experience in acute care nursing, preferably in a leadership role
  • Certification by a National Specialty Organization (optional)
Salary Range

The estimated salary range for this position is $43.92 - $81.56 per hour, commensurate with experience.
