POSITION SUMMARY

The ideal candidate will possess the expertise and competencies necessary to deliver strategic vision, guidance, and engineering assistance to fulfill corporate objectives and enhance shareholder value. The ability to operate independently as well as collaboratively within a diverse team is essential. Applicants should demonstrate proficiency across all facets of Reservoir Engineering, including reservoir characterization, performance evaluation, risk assessment, well testing, material balance, fluid characteristics, volumetric reserve estimation, and economic analysis of wells and projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide leadership in reservoir engineering as part of a multi-disciplinary asset team to design and implement optimized development strategies.
  • Conduct reserve and economic assessments of drilling, completion, recompletion, workover, and acquisition/divestiture opportunities, providing recommendations to management.
  • Generate risk-adjusted economic evaluations for the screening and prioritization of prospects.
  • Prepare the annual drilling strategy and capital expenditure budget, recommending approval to executive management.
  • Conduct semi-annual SEC reserve evaluations on company assets, focusing on accurate asset valuation.
  • Develop presentations and provide expert testimony at regulatory hearings in support of company initiatives.
  • Maintain and update economic type curves for various regions or plays.
  • Determine optimal well density, completion strategies, and performance metrics for multi-well units.
  • Assess and provide recommendations regarding potential acquisitions and divestitures.
  • Forecast production to inform the design capacity of gathering systems, compressor stations, and processing facilities.
  • Mentor and guide less experienced engineers and technicians.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation abilities; the candidate will be expected to present findings to executive leadership.
  • Strong computer proficiency and data analysis capabilities.
  • Experience in operations is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related engineering field.
  • A minimum of 12 years of relevant industry experience; experience in unconventional resources is preferred.
  • Proficient knowledge of industry economic software is required (Aries is preferred).
  • Experience with production curve analysis (Arps) for forecasting reserve recoveries.
  • Familiarity with SEC reserve reporting standards and the ability to quantify PUD, POSS, and PROB reserves.
  • Capability to manage multiple priorities and efficiently organize work to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to effectively utilize technical and administrative personnel resources.
  • Prior experience mentoring junior engineers and technicians is essential.
  • Ability to work autonomously and complete tasks with minimal oversight.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screening is required.

This position is based in Oklahoma City with minimal travel requirements.
