Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Construction Manager to lead the development of a state-of-the-art detention center from the ground up. As a Senior Construction Manager, you will oversee and direct all aspects of the construction project, ensuring that it is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and direct all aspects of the construction project from conception to completion
• Review and interpret project plans, blueprints, and other written instructions and diagrams to perform tasks at hand
• Coordinate a team of construction workers, ensuring that each stage of the project is being carried out according to plan and on schedule
• Ensure all safety protocols are adhered to, providing a safe and secure environment for all workers
• Conduct regular site inspections and monitor construction progress
• Coordinate with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and local government officials
• Manage budgeting, scheduling, and other managerial aspects of construction
• Resolve any problems that may arise and ensure the project stays within budget and on schedule
• Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications
• Prepare and deliver progress reports to senior management and other stakeholders

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a supervisory role within the construction industry, specifically in the development of correctional facilities or prisons
• Proven track record of successfully overseeing large-scale construction projects from start to finish
• Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards
• Ability to read, interpret, and create blueprints and technical drawings
• Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage and coordinate a large team
• Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent decision-making skills
• Solid understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
• Familiarity with construction/project management software
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• PMP or equivalent certification would be considered an asset
• Must possess a valid driver's license
