Job Summary

We are seeking a Quality Technician 2nd Shift to join our team at Chart Industries. As a Quality Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides relevant quality data and performs basic analysis of data to validate or show deviations from existing standards.
  • May recommend modifications to existing standards, methods, and procedures.
  • Performs work under direct supervision and handles basic issues and problems.
  • Utilizes basic tools in daily tasks and possesses beginning to basic knowledge of subject matter.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1+ years of quality technician experience or minimum of 2 years manufacturing experience.
  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and work orders.
  • Basic math skills (weight measurement, volume, distance, multiplication, and division).
  • Attention to detail essential.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Proven ability to identify, reason, and problem-solve minor non-conformities and deviations.
  • Overtime and weekend hours, as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • General knowledge of ISO procedures.
  • Knowledge or experience working with Chart products.
  • Welding experience, a plus.
Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and sit. Frequently uses hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color evaluations, and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Moderate to loud noise level in the work environment.
