Nurse Triage Specialist

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Full-Time Nurse Triage Specialist to work closely with physicians, NPs, and PAs in Albany, NY. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical office settings, be licensed as a registered nurse in the state of NY, and possess BCLS/ACLS certification (preferred). Key responsibilities include:
- Handling incoming patient phone calls for assigned providers;
- Making appointments for office visits, referrals, imaging studies, and lab tests;
- Prior authorizing medications, imaging studies, and labs;
- Notifying patients of results via email or phone call;
- Responding to patient portal messages;
- Logging procedures and acting on orders;
- Managing prescription refills by reviewing charts and scheduling appointments as needed.
The Nurse Triage Specialist will report directly to the nursing coordinator and work collaboratively with the team to ensure seamless patient care.
