Commercial Loan Servicing Specialist

Job Summary
As a Commercial Loan Servicing Specialist at Banner Bank, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our commercial loan portfolio. Your primary responsibilities will include maintaining accurate loan records, performing general ledger balancing, and processing servicing requests in accordance with internal guidelines and service level standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare collateral releases for commercial and commercial real estate loan portfolios.
- Monitor and process paid loan reports in accordance with established controls prior to releasing liens or collateral instruments.
- Provide support to business lines by researching and resolving loan-related issues or customer-submitted requests.
- Communicate with business lines regarding post-booking loan system matters, imaging, payoff requests, reconveyances, or loan maintenance inquiry-related issues.
- Process GL certifications/balancing and invoice payments.
- Monitor loan-related GL accounts, including auto balance journal, loan transfers, non-post entries, and miscellaneous loan expenses.
- Reconcile all Loan Operations GL accounts and Subsidiary Ledgers in accordance with established corporate reconciliation policies and standards.
- Research any outstanding items in all Loan Operations GL accounts to ensure clearing or escalation of items within defined "normal" clearing time frames.
- Prepare GL Journal entries as necessary to clear reconciling items.
- Process commercial and commercial real estate loan payoff quotes.
- Interact with title and escrow companies in facilitating timely loan closings.
- Monitor and maintain the loan collateral tickler system for pending commercial and commercial real estate loan collateral perfection items.
- Process UCC Reports to ensure lien filings are continued, amended, or terminated (as required) in a timely manner to ensure the Bank's lien position is maintained during the life of the loan.
- Monitor, review, and submit CoreLogic Tax Reports to business lines for further processing.
- Monitor and process the Bank's established requirements for insurance.
- Perform reviews on flood and hazard insurance certificates and policies prior to closing and upcoming expirations to ensure accurate coverage that complies with internal bank policy, as well as state and federal regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- H.S. Diploma: General Education (Required)
- 0 to 2 years of experience in commercial loan documents, experience in commercial real estate loan documents preferred (Required)
Preferred Qualifications
- Possess a working knowledge of the administration, scanning, and indexing of collateral documents into the OnBase imaging system.
- Thorough knowledge service level agreements and the proper loan documents required for imaging.
- Possess good organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail.
- Possess excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
