VCA Animal Hospitals is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant Supervisor to lead our patient care team. As a working supervisory position, this role is responsible for the leadership and development of the patient care team. The successful candidate will have the support of the hospital and field leadership team in this role.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Provide leadership, training, and support to the patient care team
* Provide mentorship and training to team members
* Schedule staff and conduct team meetings
* Keep the patient care team current on policies and procedures
* Accurately handle and record controlled drugs
* Assist with inventory, equipment, and facility maintenance
* Assist with marketing and events

**Ideal Qualifications:**

* One or more years of leadership/management experience as a Veterinary Technician
* South Carolina Veterinary Technician License (LVT) or eligible preferred
* Strong emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills in working with colleagues and pet parents
* Comfortable with mentoring and training others
* Strong technical skills with a desire to continue to improve
* Able to work well independently as well as part of a team
* Flexible with work schedule
* Proven ability to keep accurate patient records
* Motivated, enthusiastic self-starter with a professional and positive outlook
