Job Summary

The Waste Acceptance Specialist will play a key role in ensuring the safe and compliant disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of environmental regulations and be able to review waste profiles to identify potential health and safety concerns.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist customers with regulatory and technical issues related to waste disposal.
  2. Review and approve customer waste profiles to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
  3. Monitor workload and allocate tasks to junior team members as needed.
  4. Provide real-time support on standard operating procedures and waste profiles.
  5. Act as a technical liaison for sales and customers.

Requirements

  • Strong customer service skills and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to take initiative in problem resolution.
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related field (preferred).
  • Two years in a technical capacity within the Hazardous Waste or Environmental Services Industry (plus a working knowledge of Environmental Regulations).
