Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in Sarpy County, Nebraska. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment at a municipal waste transfer station.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, excavators, bulldozers, and front-end loaders in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable materials and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment to prevent downtime and maintain operational readiness.
  • Document minor service repairs and report any necessary repairs to supervisors.
  • Familiarize yourself with company policies and procedures to ensure a smooth and safe working experience.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in heavy equipment operation.
  • Possess excellent physical condition to perform duties that require heavy lifting, climbing, and bending.
  • Excellent audio/visual abilities and perception necessary for successful performance of assigned duties.
  • Ability to lift up to 75lbs.

Work Environment:

  • This role involves working in a construction site environment with exposure to dust, noise, and solid waste.
  • Must be able to work in inclement weather conditions.

Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum depending on experience.
