As the initial point of contact for our clients, the Customer Service Representative plays a vital role in the success of Bar Harbor Bank & Trust. Our representatives significantly impact our clients' financial journeys by assisting with their everyday banking needs and fostering trusted relationships. In this part-time role, which encompasses 25 hours per week, you will:
  • Assist clients in identifying their financial requirements and contribute to the company's success by suggesting additional products and services.
  • Identify and act on opportunities to refer clients to loans, trusts, investments, insurance, and other exceptional services provided by the bank.
  • Develop a foundational understanding of the banking sector and work towards achieving branch objectives in various areas, including deposits and loans.
  • Establish trusting relationships with individuals in the communities we serve.
  • Actively participate in and advocate for community growth and prosperity.
  • Process transactions for clients promptly, efficiently, courteously, and professionally.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service, resolve inquiries effectively, and follow up with clients as needed.
This position emphasizes acquiring general banking knowledge and mastering routine transactions, including account openings. A background in customer service and familiarity with Windows operating systems are essential for success in this role.
