Maintenance Coordinator

The Maintenance Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of facilities within the Phoenixville Area Middle School district. This position is responsible for coordinating the workflow for facility maintenance and improvement projects, ensuring that work orders, project tasks, and energy efficiency initiatives are organized and tracked.
Key Responsibilities- Work Order Management
- Administer the facility ticketing system to ensure maintenance requests are logged, prioritized, and assigned.
- Coordinate and schedule all facility maintenance and project work orders, ensuring appropriate workflow and task delegation.
- Monitor work order progress, update the system as tasks are completed, and communicate with relevant stakeholders about work status.
- Project Coordination
- Work with the Director of Operations to define and organize facility-related projects, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
- Track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure compliance with school district standards and timelines.
- Energy Consultation and Monitoring
- Provide ongoing analysis and recommendations for energy conservation measures, ensuring efficient use of energy across district facilities.
- Collaborate with the Director of Operations to implement and monitor energy-saving programs and initiatives.
- Track and report energy consumption data, identifying areas for improvement and cost savings.
- Facility System Oversight
- Maintain knowledge of district facilities, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of maintenance needs and ongoing projects.
- Assist in the development and implementation of preventative maintenance plans to extend the life of district assets and reduce downtime.
- General Maintenance Tasks
- Assist in general maintenance needs across the district as needed.
- Communication and Reporting
- Provide regular updates to the Director of Operations on work order status, project progress, and energy efficiency efforts.
- Prepare and present reports on maintenance operations, project outcomes, and energy savings to senior management as requested.
- Proven experience in facilities coordination, maintenance management, or a related field.
- Knowledge of energy conservation practices and the ability to implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Familiarity with facility ticketing systems and project management tools.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders, including directors, maintenance teams, and vendors.
- Coordination & Organization: Ability to manage complex workflows and ensure timely completion of tasks without direct supervision of employees.
- Energy Management: Understanding of energy-saving strategies and technologies to support district-wide efficiency goals.
- Project Management: Strong skills in planning, executing, and tracking projects to ensure alignment with district priorities.
- Communication: Clear and professional interaction with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate work and energy initiatives.
