Ultrasound Technologist

As a Diagnostic Sonographer at HonorHealth, you will play a critical role in performing ultrasound diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under the direction of a radiologist. This position requires independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to ensure patient safety and comfort.
Responsibilities
Perform ultrasound techniques and examinations, including abdominal, OB/GYN, and small parts, by selecting proper technical factors on an individual patient basis.
Transport patients to and from exam rooms, prepare and maintain rooms, and acquire digital images for technical quality evaluation.
Assist physicians in diagnostic procedures and administer medications as needed.
Coordinate daily workflow for department activities, maintain equipment, and perform quality control testing.
Participate in staff orientation, training, and in-servicing as needed, and maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
6 months of clinical ultrasound experience (inclusive of education) required.
American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) eligible, including passing the SPI exam or ARRT Sonography certification.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
RDMS or RVT credentialed, including passing one of the following exams: Abdomen, Breast, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatric Sonography, or Vascular Technology.
