Respiratory Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Care Specialist to join our team at Intermountain Health in Miles City, Montana. As a critical care specialist, you will be responsible for providing advanced-level respiratory care to patients with complex cardiopulmonary conditions.
Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, evaluate, treat, manage, and control deficiencies or abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system within the prescription of the ordering physician
- Act as a resource to CRT staff and participate in special clinical projects or assignments as designated by leadership
- Perform, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic testing procedures according to protocol
- Administer medications in a timely and safe manner
- Maintain awareness of assigned patients' overall condition and communicate with physicians and nurses
Education and Qualifications:
- Graduate of an AMA-approved program for Respiratory Therapy
- Current license for Respiratory Therapy in the state of practice
- Health Care Provider Life Support certification
- ACLS certification for critical care (may require additional certifications for specialty areas)
The hourly range for this position is $30.94 - $47.77, with a generous benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off. We also offer opportunities for career growth and professional development.
This role may require floating to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications, and may be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift.
Physical RequirementsThis role requires ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies. The physical demands of this role include frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.
