Engine Assembly Technician

Key Responsibilities:
- Precision assembly of rocket engine hardware, directed by both written and verbal instructions.
- Disassembly and inspection of tested components.
- Build planning, inventory kit organization, shortage identification, and ordering of common stock items.
- Precision cleaning of hardware.
- Work area ownership, functional layout, daily maintenance, and general cleaning.
- Detailed dimensional measurements and stack-up calculations.
- Identification of discrepancies, authoring of nonconformance reports, coordination with engineering on dispositions, and detailed documentation of steps.
- Following of work orders for component builds; documentation of build steps for both new and re-occurring assembly sequences.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical or manufacturing environments.
- Assembly experience with oxygen, cryogenic, and FOD intolerant service components.
- Detailed understanding of fittings, threads, inserts, seals, and other sub-component parts.
- Proficient in working with delicate and high-value assemblies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to operate forklifts and scissor lifts.
- Ability to work second shift and weekends as needed.
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs. unassisted.
- Able to stand for extended periods.
- Able to stoop, bend, crawl, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Valid driver's license.

- Level 2 range: $31 - $47/hour.
- Level 3 range: $38 - $57/hour.
