Job Description

Talnt seeks a highly skilled Senior Food Safety and Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. This critical role is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality in our production environment.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have expertise in HACCP protocols, GMP compliance, and laboratory testing methods. They will conduct regular inspections, perform quality control checks, and analyze raw materials and finished goods to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Implement and enforce HACCP plans, GMP protocols, and other food safety measures.
  • Conduct pre-operational equipment and production area inspections, recording results and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Perform quality control checks on weight accuracy, label validation, metal detection, and other critical parameters.
  • Analyze raw materials and finished goods for sensory, chemical, and microbiological parameters, including allergen assessments and environmental swabbing.
  • Support research and development initiatives, including product trials and new analytical equipment testing.
  • Perform internal audits on quality, sanitation, and safety practices, ensuring corrective actions are followed through.
  • Maintain and revise documentation for quality and production processes to meet regulatory standards.
  • Investigate and resolve quality concerns, implementing preventive measures to enhance customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
  • Certification in HACCP and foundational training in food safety principles.
  • Associate degree in chemistry, microbiology, food science, or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with laboratory testing methods, including allergen and chemical concentration assessments.
  • Familiarity with maintaining lab inventories and coordinating with external testing labs.
  • Understanding of food production workflows and safety protocols.
Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year

This salary range is based on industry standards and takes into account factors such as location, experience, and qualifications.
