We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in Labor and Delivery at Williamson Health. As a member of our highly skilled perinatal healthcare delivery team, you will provide holistic nursing care to obstetric, neonatal, and gynecologic patients. Your role will involve patient education, support, and emotional care, ensuring the medical needs of your patients are met.

About the Job:

This position requires a licensed Registered Nurse with experience in perinatal care. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work well under pressure, and function independently. Responsibilities:
  1. Perform comprehensive assessments on all patients within the appropriate time frame, utilizing skills of observation, communication, and examination.
  2. Plan patient care on an individual basis, identifying problems/needs, nursing diagnosis, standards of care/practice, interventions consistent with identified problems, and attainable outcomes.
  3. Plan for patient teaching, discharge, and post-discharge needs as appropriate for the patient population.
  4. Function independently with treatments, procedures, and equipment, adhering to policy, procedure, and competency-based assessment.
  5. Handle, transport, store, prepare, and administer medications/solutions safely, according to hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
  6. Document accurately and timely.
  7. Reassess patient condition, evaluate patient response, and modify the plan of care accordingly and in a timely manner.
Requirements:
  • Licensed by the State of Tennessee.
  • Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university.
  • BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
  • At least one year of perinatal experience preferred.
  • Certified Lactation Consultant preferred.
  • NRP certification within six months of hire.
  • ACLS certification or agree to obtain within six months of hire.
  • Level I, Level II, and fetal monitoring within one year of hire.
Compensation:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $80,000-$110,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Work Environment:

Our perinatal/OB-GYN unit has a patient population ranging from less than one year of age to ninety-nine years of age. You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment that values teamwork, compassion, and respect for every individual.
